Mohua Marine Trust led by Engineer Alan Hughes have completed the pour of Reefball #20 on the 24th October.
These 20 Reefballs which comprise the number required to complete the Pilot Program and prepare for Deployment.
The casting was completed in a Solly's Constructions Takaka Yard over a 3 month period and ahead of schedule.
The Reefballs were subsequently loaded onto a Sanford truck and delivered to storage Port Tarakohe awaiting deployment to the seabed surrounding the Onekaka wharf ruins.
Huge thanks to Solly's for the use of their yard and Forklift, and to Golden Bay Premix for the concrete loads on short notice - and to Sanfords for delivering the Reefballs to Port Tarakohe
